Rihanna will launch a plus-size collection for her lingerie line, Savage x Fenty

Written by on May 3, 2018

Much fanfare is already surrounding Rihanna’s much-anticipated Savage x Fentylingerie line, even though she just announced the project two weeks ago. After massive retail success with both her rapidly-growing Fenty Beauty line and ’90s-inspired athletic-wear collection with Puma, it comes as no surprise that the star is expanding her empire.

In the past three years, the Barbadian singer has proven her impeccable ability to generate brand buzz and unprecedented revenue, without sacrificing diversity. Fenty Beauty just launched in September of 2017, but it’s already on track to outsell Kylie Jenner’s buzzworthy Kylie Cosmetics brand, which is two years old.

While we’re still waiting on any official confirmation from Rihanna regarding the specifics of Savage x Fenty collection and retail partnerships, one thing’s for sure—your future favourite bra could be a BadGal RiRi original. Below, we round up everything we know about the collection so far.

The collection launches on May 11

It’s official: Savage x Fenty launches worldwide on Friday, May 11, which is in less than two weeks. The singer-turned-designer announced the launch date on Instagram with a sneak peek at one of her boudoir pieces—a sultry and sheer, pink floral bodysuit.

Early in March, speculation first began surrounding a possible Rihanna intimates line. In the weeks following the initial fashion retail rumours, it was radio silence from both the musician-turned-beauty-mogul and the supposed retailers.

But RiRi finally confirmed the rumors were true last month.

Plus sizes are included

The songstress-turned-designer dropped some new teaser images of the collection on the Savage x Fenty brand Instagram, announcing that the line will be inclusive, catering to both straight-sized and plus-sized women.
