Some days before the general elections, supporters of the factional All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have been accused of plotting to cause mayhem in the state through impersonating means.

A support group of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the allegation in a statement on Saturday evening, claiming that suspected thugs belonging to the Bolanrinwa faction of the APC and its stakeholders are promoting violence through tactical plots.

Accroding to the group, “in their bid to cover up for the last attack on Agbaji community, the ancestral home of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, the ‘Ó Tó Gè’ extremists (hoodlums of the factional APC in Kwara), have wrapped up a new modalty to unleash terror on Kwarans, by going from house to house to attack people with about 15 buses which according to our source are being branded as PDP campaign vehicles to impersonate the President of the Senate and his support groups.”

“What the APC and its members do not know is that we have been monitoring their movements and we have the first hand information about their dirty activities that are capable of disrupting the peace of the state.

“They do not know that we already discovered the security errors in the branded buses and we have adequately made such known to the people of Kwara State, who are now fully rallied to expose the impostors and directly bring them to book with every intensity and energy available in a democracy.

“Consequently, the group cautions the plotters and their co-travellers to note that nobody will come to their rescue when they face the wrath of the people,” the group said.

The group therefore urge Kwarans to be security conscious and report any suspicious movement by these impersonators to the nearest police station.
