The program also serves as a vehicle of information for the Corp members.

A segment of the show is set aside for the broadcast of personal messages from Corp members to loved ones.

This Week on the Show

On this week's show was the President of the UNICEF supported Peer-Educator Trainers, a Corp member who graduated from Bayero University Kano.

The Peer Group-Educator Trainers is a group of corp members who undergo intense oragnised training by UNICEF on HIV/AIDS related issues. These Peer-Educator Trainers then retrain individuals, students and corporate bodies on the dangers of HIV/AIDS and prevention methods as part of their individual and group community development programme. The aim of the group is concentrating efforts on peer group education on HIV/AIDS issues as a means of promoting awareness amongst the people.

According to the President, so far their efforts have taken them to various institutions of learning, governmental and non-governmental agencies and car parks. Several public lectures and press briefings on HIV/AIDS have been held courtesy of the peer-educator trainers.

The President also added that besides the IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials that the group gets from a well-meaning organisation, funding of the group's activities is strictly from the contributions of the Corp members.
