Radio Kwara GM advises Twins Associations

Twins Associations across the Country have been urged to collaborate with organizations to promote their welfare.

The General Manager of the kwara State Broadcasting Corporation, Barrister Mahmud AbdulRaheem gave the advice today in Ilorin, while receiving members of the Federation of Twins Association, Kwara State College of Education, Oro, chapter who were on a courtesy visit to the corporation.

Barrister AbdulRaheem who described twins as pride of the Nation, called on the Association to organize workshops, and seminars to Enlighten the Public about their activities.

Represented by the Corporation’s Secretary, Alhaji Tunde Aremu, the General Manager expressed delight that the era of superstitions about twins had gone and advised them to be good ambassadors of their families.

Earlier, the President of the Association, Mr. Agboola Taiye had disclosed that the major objective of the Association was to embark on gainful projects with a view to empowering members and assist the less privileged twins in schools.

Also speaking, a Patron of Association Mr. Taye Odedeji expressed concern over the usual experience of some twins or multiple births families.

Mr. Odedeji maintained that poverty, laziness and lackadaisical attitude had made some fathers of multiple births to abscond and force some mothers to professional beggars.
