Media Practitioners in the country have been charged to work towards achieving professionalism in all ramifications.
The General Manager, Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation Radio Kwara, Barrister Mahmud AbdulRaheem said this while declaring open a two day capacity Building workshop for the staff of News and Current Affairs Department of the Station.
Bairrter AbdulRaheem stated that through workshop, seminar and in-house training, journalists would be able to refresh their knowledge.
He promised that the training would be more expository especially for the incoming ones to expose them into the rudiments of journalism.
The General Manager assured that the management would leave no stone unturned to ensure that the training programme became a permanent feature in the Corporation.
Barrister AbdulRaheem commended the resource person for their quality contribution p and urged participants to make use of what they have learnt at the training.
Also, speaking the Corporation Secretary, Alhaji Tunde Areme, also urged the staff of the department to listen extensively and carefully to the lectures.
Alhaji Aremu pledged the readiness of the management of the station to make reporter more professional, and knowledgeable in their various beats.
In his contribution the Chief Reporte, Pastor Akinola Akogun called for more encouragement for reporters on beats.
Pastor Akogun commended the management of the station for encouraging the professionalism.
