Media Games: Radio Kwara Football Team through to final

Radio Kwara Football Team has qualified for the final in the on-going Kwara State Media games holding at the State Stadium Mini bowl. The team will now meet the winner of the semi-final match between the State Television Authority and the Correspondent Chapel tomorrow beginning at three 0’clock in the afternoon.

To reach the final, the team today beat her Herald Newspaper counterpart one goal to nothing. Abdulgafar Arikewuyo got the only goal in the second half of the match.

In the Badminton, Bunmi Adedoyin of Radio Kwara defeated Ajide Olayioye of the Herald in the final of the singles to win Gold, while Kwara Television Authority beat Radio Kwara in the final of doubles encounter.

In Table Tennis, Radio Kwara won two gold in both male single and doubles.

Jide Allen defeated Yunus Abdulquadir of National Pilot in male single final, while Sikiru Azeez and Jide Allen beat the Herald Newspapers representatives in Male doubles final.

In male scrabble, Wale Mustapha of Sportspro won gold, AbdulRahman AbdulRauf of National Pilot won silver, while Ahmad Ambali of NTA got bronze medal.

In female scrabble, Seyyidat Aliyu of Kwara Television Authority won gold, Raliat Ibrahim of NTA, Ilorin won silver while Hauwa Alimi of Radio Kwara won bronze medal.

Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of the Media Games will hold tomorrow at the Mini-Bowl of the State Stadium, beginning at two o’clock in the afternoon.

The state Governor, Doctor Bukola Saraki will be the special Guest of Honour, the Speaker, State House of Assembly, Alhaji Babatunde Mohammed is expected to be the chairman of the occasion while chief Donatus Ejidike will be the father of the day.
