Nurain Jolayemi Zubair was born on
2nd May, 1956 in Ipee, Oyun Local Government Area of
Kwara State.
He holds a BA certificate in Yoruba
(1995) from the Federal University of Ilorin, Kwara
State, Nigeria. He also obtained a diploma certificate
in Administrative Management from the same University,
also in 1995.
He joined the service of the Kwara
State Broadcasting Corporation in 1980 as an Assistant
Producer and Presenter. He started programmes like Omo-Odua,
Ariyan Jiyan, Jenwi Temi and E Barika Jimoh, all of
which are still being aired on the station. At that
time, he was also a newscaster. In 1983 he was promoted
to the rank of Producer III, in 1985 he was Producer
II, in 1987 he was a Producer I and in 1990 he became
a Senior Producer. In 1993, Nurain was promoted to a
Controller and in 2002 he was appointed the Manager
Programmes, an office he has held till date.

He is happily married with children.
He enjoys reading fiction books and
speaks English and Yoruba fluently.
