Jonathan signs 2010 Amended Constitution into law

President Goodluck Jonathan has signed the 2010 Amended Constitution into law.

          At a brief ceremony which took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, President Jonathan commended the National Assembly and the State Houses of Assembly for their cooperation in ensuring the passage of the bills.

          President Jonathan noted that the occasion was unique because it was the first time a process of constitution amendment was taking place since democracy was restored in 1999.

          He said if he elected into power in April, the administration would ensure further changes in the constitution to meet the aspirations of Nigerians.
