The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Dimeji Bankole, has called for collaboration between the Canadian and Nigerian parliaments.

Mr. Bankole made the call in Abuja while receiving a delegation of the Canadian parliament led by Mr. Jim Karygiannis.

The speaker, who commended the roles played by Canada in the enthronement of democracy in Nigeria, solicited assistance to overcome the country's constitutional challenges.

He said Nigerian lawmakers would always find constitutional means to solve the nation’s problem.

Earlier, Mr. Karygiannis said the delegation embarked on the visit `` to see what Nigeria is all about, to see its beauty, the spirit and the resilience of its people.
