The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Usman Nafada, has assured Nigerians that the National Assembly would produce an acceptable Constitution and electoral law before the twenty eleven general elections.

Alhaji Nafada, who is also the Chairman, Constitution Review Committee, promised that the Assembly would amend all controversial sections of the Constitution before the general elections.

He gave the assurance when he visited Governor Namadi Sambo of Kaduna State, and announced that the committee's report would be submitted to the House before the end of March for consideration.

Alhaji Nafada said the committee would ensure that the views and interests of all Nigerians were adequately represented in the report.

Responding, Governor Sambo said only an acceptable Constitution and electoral law would bring major changes in the socio-political development of the country.

He expressed optimism that the National Assembly would come up with acceptable electoral laws.
