  Livestock Expert calls for creation of environment for Youths to boost Agric Production

A Veterinary and livestock expert, Doctor David Adeogun, has called for the creation of an enabling environment for the youths, to boost agricultural production in the country.

Doctor Adeogun who is the Deputy Director, Veterinary and Livestock Services Kwara State, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, stated this while participating on a Radio Kwara Interactive programme, “The Platform”.

He said the provision of social amenities including electricity, good roads and water in the rural communities would encourage youths to go back to the farm.

The Veterinary expert called for the creation of farm settlements across the country to woo Nigerians to farming.

Doctor Adeogun also identified monetary incentives and proper training for the increase in the production of foods.

He commended Governor Saraki for the establishment of youth integrated farming and called for its extension to all the three senatorial districts.

Speaking on the education policy in the country, Doctor Adeogun said, the progress of education depends on the implementation of the policy, adding that, there was nothing wrong with current educational curriculum in the country.

Doctor Adeogun therefore urged the leaders and followers to be dedicated to duties to move the country forward.

Callers on the programme said, the electoral system should be improved upon in order to have a stable political system.
