Architect Namadi Sambo of Kaduna State was this evening, sworn-in as the fourth Nigeria Vice President.
The Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Aloysius Katsina Alu administered the oath of office and oath of allegiance to the new Vice-President in a ceremony held at the council chambers, Aso Rock, Villa Abuja.
Architect Sambo was subsequently conferred with the National Award of the Grand Commander of the Niger (GCON) by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The event was sequel to his confirmation by the National Assembly after screening.
The ceremony was witnessed by some of the State Governors, members of the Federal Executive Council, the Senate President and Speaker, House of Representatives as well as other dignitaries.
