Atunwa Empowers All Political Associations In Lafiagi Emirate, Reinstate Commitment to Power Shift Pact

The Kwara State PDP Governorship Candidate, Rt. Hon. Razak Atunwa on Monday, demonstrated his readiness to provide better, sustainable and pragmatic solutions to some of the challenges confronting the people of Kwara North, by empowering all Political associations in Lafiagi with Motorcycles to enhance the transportation of their goods.

It will be recalled that Atunwa had during his pre-campaign tour and dialogue visit to the Senatorial district, where he held several meetings with different associations to garner their input for his policy blueprint had promised to provide not just sustainable solutions but also provide quick fixes where necessary to alleviate the challenges of the people.

During a meeting with the Lafiagi Political Associations, Atunwa redeemed his promise of motorcycles to the traders, artisans and farmers among them to ease the transportation of their goods and improve their access to market.

“Today’s intervention is a demonstration of our commitment to priotize the yearnings of the people of Kwara North and to also complememt governmemt effort in the area of empowerment” Rt. Hon. Razak Atunwa declared.

Atunwa noted that Lafiagi and by extension Kwara North for it’s viability will always remain an integral part of Kwara State.

He promised that his government will accelerate development in Kwara North by ensuring rapid infrastructural spread with a view to create wealth for the people of the region.

Speaking further, Atunwa urged the people of Lafiagi to jettison seasonal Politicians who only come around at the eve of every election. “For them it has never been about your interest, but their self interest”, He said.

Atunwa encouraged them to give their collective support to his government, which he promised would be youth-driven not just in appointment but also based on priorities.

“The Kwara Government that the PDP will constitute in May 2019, will be a youth driven government. Young people have shown that they have the capacity, integrity and ability to superintend and lead at the highest level, this is the time of young people” Atunwa declared to the collective cheer and applause of admirers.

Atunwa reinstated the commitment of the Kwara PDP to the Pact to shift power to Kwara North by 2023. He noted that the Kwara PDP in the interest of natural justice, fairness and inclusion has resolved to ensure the shift of power to the region.

“Only the Kwara State PDP can make this pledge because of our organized structure and dependable leadership” Atunwa added.

He urged the people of Kwara North to reinforce their conviction in Kwara PDP and the leadership of Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

It will also be recalled that the Senate President Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and stakeholders of the Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party recently signed a pact with traditional and political leaders from the northern part of the State, consenting to a power shift to the north by 2023.

It was agreed that the positions of the Secretary to the State Government, Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly among other strategic appointments will be zoned to the region on emerging victorious at the Polls.

Speaking on behalf of the Associations, the president of Lafiagi peace makers Association Mallam Nda Adato who spoke glowingly of the PDP Governorship candidate Rt. Hon. Razak Atunwa described him as a man who’s public service experience record has distingusihed among other candidates gunning for the top job in the land.

He appreciated Atunwa, for his timely and noteworthy intervention, and reassured him that the benefitting associations will effectively use the Motorcycles for the purpose it has been provided.

Speaking further, he said all the political associations in lafiagi are in sync with the PDP and will ensure it’s victory across all levels at the general elections.

“Today, we reaffirm our support for the Kwara PDP and it’s leadership.” Mallam Nda Adato declared.
